Pine Tree Acres Beefmasters was founded in 1978 with the specific mission to develop a small herd of high quality, super performing cattle that will compete in the beef markets in the United States and also in other beef-producing countries. 

Over the past 30 years, Pine Tree Acres has taken bold steps to experiment in crossing many different bulls using artificial insemination to arrive at the Beefmaster herd we own today. The Beefmaster Cow was developed crossing three breeds of cattle - Brahman, Hereford, and the Milking Shorthorn. The Lasater Family spent years developing this breed and the result of their hard labor was the development of an American Breed of cattle that when crossed with the other breeds of cattle in the United States results in a more functional growthy beef animal. At Pine Tree Acres we mainly use Foundation Bloodlines and as a result our Bulls have clean underlines and our cows are very fertile, producing a beef calf that will meet the demand of the Commercial cattle markets.
